Solera Senior Living Residents and Team Members Log Over 10,000 Miles During Fall Fitness Challenge

December 2, 2025 by Solera-Senior

Solera Senior Living recently completed its annual Fall Fitness Challenge, an initiative encouraging residents and team members from its 14 communities to stay active while supporting a worthy cause.

Throughout the month of October, participants were invited to commit to walking or running a total distance of a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or full marathon. The results were inspiring: together, residents and associates logged a remarkable 10,594 miles – nearly halfway around the earth—and raised $2,648 for charity.

For reference, that mileage is the equivalent of traveling from New York to Los Angeles 3.8 times, from Boston to Miami over 7 times, or from Seattle to Key West 3 times.

“This challenge brought out the very best in our communities,” said Kim Smith, Vice President, Operations, for Solera Senior Living. “It was incredible to see residents and team members encouraging each other, setting personal goals, and celebrating every mile knowing their efforts were also making a difference for others.”

The Fall Fitness Challenge reflects Solera Senior Living’s commitment to fostering vibrant lifestyles, holistic wellness, and social connection for residents and associates alike. Through programs like this, Solera continues to redefine senior living with experiences that support both physical health and community engagement.

Both communities and team members were recognized for outstanding achievements. The top three communities included Echo Lake in Malvern, Pa. (Gold), Daylesford Crossing in Paoli, Pa. (Silver) and Plush Mills in Wallingford, Pa. (Bronze). Individual honors went to Augustine Nyamabo at Modena Reserve at Bethesda in Bethesda, Md. (Gold), Ruben Flores at The Reserve at Lake Austin in Austin, Texas (Silver) and Felicia Love, also at The Reserve at Lake Austin (Bronze).

Solera Senior Living’s 14 communities across the U.S. participated in the Fall Fitness Challenge, including:

  • Artisan at Hudson (Hudson, Massachusetts)
  • Daylesford Crossing (Paoli, Pennsylvania)
  • Echo Lake (Malvern, Pennsylvania)
