Solera Senior Living’s Commitment to the Safety and Wellbeing of Residents and Staff While Managing the Threat of the COVID-19 Delta and Omicron Variants

At Solera Senior Living, we continue to remain tirelessly committed to the safety and well-being of our residents, their loved ones and our team members. We are proud to have made the difficult decision in late 2020 to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine at each of our communities in Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Virginia and Texas. This initiative has helped to greatly minimize the risk of any new cases among residents and staff, while also providing for much needed peace of mind for their families and loved ones.

The FDA and CDC highly recommend the COVID-19 booster as it is an important step forward as we work together to protect our communities from the virus. Solera follows this recommendation and supports the position of receiving the booster for those eligible, excluding medical and religious exemptions.

Due to the ever-expanding health implications of the Delta and Omicron variants of COVID-19, Solera has instituted modified protocols that require team members and visitors to wear masks while indoors. Solera has also instituted community-wide testing protocols in the event of an outbreak. Additional measures we’ve undertaken include enhanced cleaning protocols, fogging machines, as well as cutting-edge Accushield sign-in and health screening system for all visitors, staff, residents and third-party caregivers.

When and if there are any visitor restrictions put in-place, we will facilitate outdoor visits or Zoom calls to have an alternative option to visit with loved ones. Please do not hesitate to contact the community to schedule these visits or calls. We realize that nothing replaces being in person and thus we appreciate your understanding. We need to work together to protect our residents, team members and families.

The team is working diligently to minimize the risks of any new cases, while also encouraging socialization and maximizing engagement for our residents. We recognize that this is a challenging and controversial topic, yet we cannot waiver in our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of those within the Solera family, as well as more broadly in the communities where we are privileged to operate.

If you have any questions or would like additional information regarding Solera’s COVID-19 policies and procedures, please contact us at liveexceptional@soleraseniorliving.com.
